OBU BSc project submissions portal

Thank you for your patience. The RAP submission period 37 is now open. The closing date for submission is 14.00 GMT Friday 21 December 2018. There has been a significant change in the process and so read the following information carefully and follow these instructions.

Submission will be directly to Oxford Brookes University by email. As part of our process, we will check that you are eligible for the BSc Applied Accounting, you have paid the required fee and you have a registered mentor. If you are not eligible, or do not have a registered mentor, we will refund the submission fee. Submission is not a guarantee of acceptance of your work.


The subject line of the email must be your ACCA number and name.

In the email, you need to include:

  • Your name, ACCA number and date of birth
  • Confirmation that you have read page 10 the Information Pack and that you are eligible to submit a RAP
  • Your Registered Mentor's name and your Registered Mentor's registered email address
  • The capacity in which your mentor mentored you (line manager, Tutor, full ACCA member)


Attach all the documents you want to submit to this email.

  • Research Report as a Word document
  • Skills and Learning Statement as a Word Document 
  • Reference list as Word document
  • spreadsheet in Excel (xls or .xlsx)
  • presentation as a PowerPoint document
  • financial statements as pdfs
  • any other documents (eg questionnaire used for data collection) as pdfs


If resubmitting

  • Resubmission statement as a word document


Please include your student number in all the file names. For example, if my student number is 4523670 then I would label the Research Report file 4523670RR, the Skills and Learning Statement 4523670SLS, Reference List 4523670Refs, the spreadsheet 4523670excel, the powerpoint 4523670presentation, the financial statements 4523670fs, for appendices 4523670appendices and if I was resubmitting 4523670resubmission.


Please do NOT send zip files.


Please ensure that all of the files you want to upload are less than 10MB. Please ensure that the Word document containing the answers to the four SLS questions is less than 250Kb.


We will send confirmation of receipt, and eventually your result to the email address you use to submit your documents to us, so please use an email address we can respond to, and inform us if your email address changes in the next 6 months.

You are required to pay a submission fee to Oxford Brookes University. The fee is £340. To pay the £340 submission fee for period 37, please go to the following link:




and then click on “add to basket”.


You will then need to enter your seven-digit ACCA number when prompted to do so and should then be able to proceed to pay with your card.


Please note that you will need to register yourself on the online shop to use this method.


If you do not have access to a credit or debit card, please send a cheque or banker's draft for £340 sterling payable to “Oxford Brookes University”(with your name and ACCA number on the back) to:

Welcome to the Oxford Brookes BSc Research and Analysis Project submissions portal.

Please log in or register on this site using the links on the left.  Please note that you need to register on this website in order to log in - your ACCA password will not work.

Submissions may only be made in the two Submission Periods each year starting on 1st May and 1st November.  Submission closure dates are always published in advance;  Period 37 opens on 1st November 2018 and closes at 13:00 UK time on 15th November 2018.

Please ensure that your Mentor is Registeredyou will not be able to submit if your Mentor is not on the Registered Mentor list. 

To access the list of Registered Mentors and learn about mentoring please go to the OBU BSc Mentoring pages on  www.oxfordbrookesmentoring.co.uk  and register as a student - this is free.  Please note that most Mentors charge for their services - this can cost up to £600GBP. 

 Please also register and access the Mentoring site for the enhanced Resources section, including video introductions to the RAP.

Important Notes

    You must be a current active member of ACCA in order to submit.
  • If you have submitted previously and been subject to an Academic Conduct decision of Serious Misconduct your resubmission fee (agreed with ACCA) may be £600 GBP for May 2018 - please see Appendix 6 of the Information Pack.
  • Prior to submitting, please ensure that you have fulfilled the requirements detailed in the Research and Analysis project checklist.
  • If you are resubmitting, please ensure that you have filled in and submitted the Resubmission Statement.
  • We will select random projects during marking for a "viva" - academic interview - as part of our quality control.


NOTE: students have 10 years from the date of their first ACCA exam in which to complete their ACCA Fundamental papers and the BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting.  This deadline cannot be extended, re-registering with ACCA does not change/extend your final date.

Students cannot enter, register or confirm their Mentor name until a Submission Period opens.
